Thigh Lift

Procedure

A thigh lift operation often performed for patient who has excess loose tissue or after massive weight loss. It aims to rejuvenate thighs and remove excess skin and fat.

The procedure required a general anaesthetic and generally takes 2 – 2.5 hours. The incision involves along the inner part of thigh, often extends into groin crease. The incision can extend towards the knee and sometimes towards buttocks. Liposuction is often performed with this procedure. The fat is then removed and excess skin excised. The wound is closed in layers with combination of internal

dissolvable stitches. It is advisable to wear compression garment and you will be encouraged to mobilise after the procedure.

The procedure is very satisfying in majority of the cases. The risks include bleeding, haematoma, infection, patches of numbness, altered sensation, asymmetry, thick scar and seroma. There are uncommon risks of general anaesthesia including respiratory/cardiac compromise and deep venous thrombosis.

Full assessment, operation and risks will be discussed at the consultation.

Thigh lift with liposuction. This is my second operation with the wonderful Mr Lohana, Im in the middle of skin removal surgeries due to weight loss and have already got my next surgery booked with him. He is the most wonderful surgeon who gets fantastic results and I trust him 100%. Always take as much time as you need to listen to all your concerns and wants to make sure you get the best results possible. He really does go above and beyond any expectations. He also is very involved in your recovery period and definitely keeps an eye on how you are getting on during this period. Extremely happy with the results from the two surgeries I have had with him so far and so happy that I “found” Mr Lohana . Also all the Nursing team at the hospital and clinic are excellent and really do look after you.
